Manor Park Concert: Bird x Butterfly and The Nettes

Bird x Butterfly is a Korean-American duo composed of Chicago singer-songwriters Frances Kang and Paul Kim. Together, they create indie-pop that blends ethereal soundscapes and introspective lyrics with haunting, harmonizing vocals. Their genre-bending music is often inspired by the beauty of nature and the complexity of the human experience — like their latest single “White (As We Speak)” and their first single “Monarch,” which was highlighted as one of NPR’s favorite entries for its 2021 Tiny Desk Contest.
The Nettes is a harmony-infused group based in Chicago featuring songwriters Alex Fiolek, Kristina Cottone, and Sonya Major. Together, their music fuses soaring melodies, compelling lyricism, and tasteful instrumentation.
