Manor Stories – old

Manor Oral History Project

As part of the 100th Anniversary of the establishment of the Ravenswood Manor Improvement Association, the RMIA’s Research Committee in 2014 conducted interviews with long-time residents who had at least a 50-year connection to the neighborhood. These 40-minute interviews, which are archived at the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress, were recorded on equipment loaned to RMIA by StoryCorps, a national organization.

Interviews were conducted by Manor residents Jackie Klein and Jim Peters. Listen as these neighbors describe their lives, local experiences, and the neighborhood. We are proud to present their stories here.
